In connection with the 2012 NSF Workshop on Simulation Methodology, held in Shanghai on July 23-25, 2012, we solicit articles for a special issue of ACM TOMACS on Emerging Methodologies and Applications in Stochastic Simulation.
With new computing technologies, such as multiple-core personal computers, cloud computing and graphic processing units (GPUs), emerging areas, such as health systems and environmental systems, which often involve massive data, there are needs and opportunities for the stochastic simulation community to identify new research opportunities and challenges, and broaden and advance simulation methodologies and applications.
We seek high-quality original papers that present research results related to emerging method- ologies and applications in stochastic simulation. Topics include but are not limited to:
We encourage workshop presenters and attendees to submit their papers to this special issue.
We also welcome papers from authors who do not attend the workshop. All submitted papers must not have been previously published or currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Submission deadline: Extended to January 15, 2013.
The issue appeared as Volume 24 Issue 4, August 2014. For the editorial policy, instructions to authors, and further details, please consult the ACM TOMACS Web page.
The submission process is electronic only. When submitting your paper, select the appropriate special issue, on Emerging Methodologies and Applications in Stochastic Simulation, and make sure that you carefully follow the instructions.
